Sonya McKay, owner of Prudence Gowns, came from a creative background having a BA Hons in Design Communication from University of Ulster and then pursuing a career in sales and marketing. Sonya along with her husband Richard decided to start their own business and stumbled upon the bridal industry. Eager to learn more about the business Sonya went to work with the then owner of Prudence Gowns, Pat Trevarton, and learned all about the bridal world. With Pat wanting to retire soon Sonya and her husband became the new owners of Prudence Gowns in 2008.
With over 300 dresses Prudence Gowns is confident that they have a dream wedding gown for every bride and her budget! Sonya likes to think of all brides as friends and treats them just as they were. The staff dedicates at least two hours for each bridal appointment as they know choosing a wedding dress can be an overwhelming experience.
Prudence Gowns also stocks bridesmaids dresses, special occasion wear, and mens hire department. With years of experience they are a mine of information waiting to help from their first visit right through the wedding day.

My favourite wedding gown from this seasons collection is most definitely 8776! The fabrics that have been used in this dress are absolutely exquisite- the two layers of sequin and lace create a stunning combination.
