Tiler Peck and Roman Mejia Are Married — But It Wasn't the Couple's First Dance with Justin Alexander
Step inside the dancers' extraordinary day, see Tiler's gorgeous wedding dresses, and hear the touching story of how a Justin Alexander campaign transformed their friendship into something spectacular.
Justin Alexander has been in the bridal business since 1946, but Tiler Peck and Roman Mejia’s fabulous New York City wedding marks a first for us. We've been a part of countless special days, but never before has a couple credited Justin Alexander as the matchmaker behind their love story! Until now, of course.
Tiler and Roman – both New York City Ballet principal dancers – performed in our Spring/Summer 2022 campaign, Dancing Into Forever. Although the pair had already known each other professionally for years at the time, Tiler noted their dynamic was “forever different” after they filmed together in 2021.
In the campaign, Tiler and Roman portray a couple who are celebrating their wedding together amid the Covid-19 pandemic. Despite the unprecedented and challenging conditions of that time, they used dance to celebrate their love artistically and safely. (And while showing off a few gorgeous Justin Alexander dresses along the way!) Dancing Into Forever was originally intended to serve as an empathetic message to couples during an uncertain time, but it ended up taking on an entirely new meaning through Tiler and Roman’s love story that unfolded soon after.
“We always joke that we got married before we went on our first date... because we practically did in this video,” Tiler explained. “It was this video that made us start liking each other. So, [Justin Alexander] is responsible for getting us together!”
Tiler and Roman’s relationship status isn’t the only thing that’s majorly changed in the last four years, and luckily, weddings are back and bigger than ever before. The couple celebrated their union alongside their family and friends in an iconic New York City wedding on June 22, 2025. And of course, Tiler wore Justin Alexander.
“To get everybody in one place and to get to celebrate together, I think that’s the best part,” Tiler said.
On the couple’s real wedding day, the bride stunned in a custom Justin Alexander Signature mermaid gown.
“It feels very timeless,” said Tiler, crediting the gown’s figure-hugging silhouette and floral motif as her favorite details.
Initially, Tiler was gravitating towards fitted lace styles, but made the decision to step out of her comfort zone and try a gown that was quite different from what she was imagining wearing on her wedding day. She ended up absolutely loving the unique floral gown.
“I’ve never really seen that before,” Tiler said of her ceremony dress. “I got a special dress.”
Tiler didn't completely ditch her affinity for fitted lace gowns. Later in the evening, the bride slipped into slipped into an allover embroidered lace fit and flare gown by Lillian West, Style 66369. This was actually the first gown Tiler tried on at the Justin Alexander Showroom, and she immediately fell for it, ultimately deciding to wear it as her second look.
“That material... I’ve never felt anything more comfortable,” Tiler explained during her final fitting appointment. “The fact that that could be a wedding dress is amazing. To look like that and feel that comfortable... I just think it’ll help me enjoy my moment that much more.”
While Tiler opted to wear two dresses to her wedding, there’s one thing the gowns have in common; they both allowed her to express her personal style through her bridal looks.
“I’ve always thought that what you wear should be an extension of you as a person,” said Tiler. “These dresses show exactly who I am as a woman, and I think it’ll be really nice to get to look [back] at that in a few years.”
So how does one find a dress that feels like an extension of their personality?
"Don't settle," Tiler shared for those planning a wedding. "You'll know which one makes you feel even more beautiful than you think you could be."
There’s no denying that Tiler looked absolutely stunning on the day, which began with the couple’s first look at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center, where Tiler and Roman rehearse and perform as principal dancers in the NYCB.
Tiler and Roman’s ceremony was on the Upper West Side, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. After exchanging vows, they walked across Central Park to their stunning reception at Tavern on the Green for a night of dancing with their favorite people.
But don’t worry, even as Tiler and Roman dance into forever with one another, the memories they made in our Dancing into Forever campaign will continue to live on.
"His parents say they watch it all the time and cry," Tiler shared.
We are so thrilled to have played a role in Tiler and Roman’s love story, and to have dressed Tiler for their beautiful wedding. Congratulations to the happy couple!
