This time of year, there's a lot to be thankful for. Here at Justin Alexander, we're thankful to have a history of creating dresses that have been a part of so many weddings, so many walks down the aisle, so many “I do’s” and the beginning of so many lives together. And while this feeling is prevalent in everything we do, we’re especially thankful to hear from our brides, to see their photos, and to feel the love and happiness that permeates through our dress designs, from the moment they are dreamt up with your love in mind, until they walk with you down the aisle. If you’ve found yourself this holiday season being thankful for a new ring on your finger, you probably know that there is so much noise when it comes to wedding planning. It’s easy to get overwhelmed with color planning and invitations, seating charts and menu decisions. So let these words be a reminder to you, as they have been for us here at Justin Alexander, that when we show gratitude for the beautiful love we have, everything falls into place.
Kristen + Bobby image1-2

Our lovely #JAbride Kristen embodied timeless southern grace on her wedding day in Charlotte, North Carolina. The smile on her face here shows her immense happiness and gratitude, but she told us how she felt in her own words. "I'm thankful for the amazing journey I have started with my new husband and the endless love and support we have received from our family and friends." Kristen's gown, a signature style, evokes grace and beauty with an element of surprise with its hand-placed Venice lace accents. To get her look, try styles 9845 and 9861, although, you'll have to find your own reason to smile... I believe hers is taken.

Being based in New York, we find it easy to fall in love with stunning city skylines and to feel grateful for the constant flow of energy and inspiration we get just looking out our office windows over Union Square. Bride Nicola and her husband seem to feel that same appreciation for our beloved city, choosing to exchange their vows in the concrete jungle. Embodying the mood of the day, she said, "I am truly thankful for my wonderful wedding day, spent with the most amazing people (and in my husband and my favorite place!) ...not to mention my absolute favorite dress." Her dress, Style 8799, balanced modern sophistication and vintage flair for a truly metropolitan look. To embrace the metropolitan chic wedding day style, try styles 8878 or 8902.

Our Justin Alexander dresses often start by reinterpreting vintage looks. Layering stunning, intricate lace over timeless silhouettes and adding just a touch of embellishment to make it our own. #JAbride Helen chose style 8766 for her epic adventure of a wedding aboard an antique schooner in Bristol, in the United Kingdom. With the epic backdrop of the ship, her natural laidback sophistication looked elegant and regal. She and her husband Alexander are no strangers to a love that lasts- of her day, she said, "I am so thankful for marrying my husband who I have known for 11 years." With that foundation, there's no doubt that they'll be able to navigate even the stormiest seas and embrace so many beautiful adventures together. To copy her vintage-modern look, try styles 8882, 8893, and 8906.
Melissa + Scott image1-1

The beautiful #JAbride Melissa shared the perfect fall wedding that seems all too appropriate this time of year. She looked glamorous and completely at ease in Style 8796, embodying the stunning natural surroundings as well as the beauty and love that is palpable through her photos. Looking back on the day, Melissa said, "I'm thankful for the perfect fall weather on our wedding day, my family and friends for being there every step of the way, and the awesome dance party that ensued. And of course... my husband for making me feel so special on that day. Can't wait for what the future holds!" For other styles that are similar to Melissa's vintage-glam look, try styles 8882, 8884, and 8858.

It's this time of year in particular that we realize how much we have to be thankful for, but especially for the love and lives that we get to be a part of everyday. Be inspired by more real brides and their stories here, and if you were a #JAbride, share your story with us! We are immensely grateful to be a part of your lives and the love you share. Happy thanksgiving, from our family to yours.
