Alexandria Mills, Miss World 2010, wore a beautiful vintage inspired Justin Alexander wedding dress when she married the love of her life.
Alexandria Mills wore a stunning white evening dress when she was crowned Miss World in 2010. Little did she know that only two years after that incredible triumph she would be having another unforgettable moment in another dazzling white gown. Miss World married the love of her life in a vintage inspired Justin Alexander wedding dress in November 2012. And like a true beauty queen, she had a fairytale-like proposal when her fiance popped the question on the steps of Westminster Abbey.
Having worn a multitude of dresses over the years as a model, Alexandria was afraid she wouldn't have that special moment with her wedding dress. Terri Hilferty, a designer for Justin Alexander, made it her mission to make sure Alexandria felt incredible in her wedding dress. Terri wanted to accent all the right curves and create a vintage inspired gown for Miss World, which resulted in style 8659.
After only seeing sketches of the mermaid wedding gown, it was mailed to Alexandria to finally try on. As soon as she tried it on she knew it was the perfect gown for her. Alexandria and her mom got teary-eyed, not only because she had found the perfect dress, but because she knew this dress had been carefully designed for her - knowing that was enough to make the two shed tears of joy.
On November 2nd, 2012 Alexandria Mills wore an exquisite regal satin mermaid wedding dress that featured a delicate sweetheart neckline and an elegantly beaded bias belt. Pink crystals and beads adorned the custom made cap sleeves and belt that added a touch of romance to her bridal look.
Her vintage inspired wedding reception took place in a 1920's bank in Kentucky. The ceremony and reception were full of love, sophistication and beautiful vintage details. We wish Alexandria and Franklin a beautiful, strong and happy marriage!
