Our #bridecrush Kasi and her husband Nate had the most dreamy mountain wedding amongst the Colorado Aspens! Kasi was a vision in romantic ruffles, dressed in Justin Alexander Style 88059 from The Bridal Collection. The pink champagne colored gown paired beautifully with Nate’s navy blue suit and floral accent tie. Their puppy even had a matching suit! The couple chose natural muted pinks, yellows, and greens in their floral arrangements that did not take away from the colorful Colorado landscape of Granby Ranch. Their ceremony overlooked a picturesque mountain skyline with lush greenery for as far as the eye can see.
We love that Kasi paired Style 88059 with a deep mauve lip color to pull out the pink hues of her gown. She styled the gown with a live floral hairpiece and a gorgeous natural colored shawl to make this gown truly her very own.
From The Bride…
In May of 2018 I lived in Portland, Oregon and my engaged friends were a couple of weeks out from tying the knot. They told me they had friends in town and needed help with “wedding things.” I cancelled my running group that night to help with the last minute tasks. I very quickly learned that there were no “wedding things” that needed my assistance nor did they have friends in town. Rather, I was there to meet Nate, who was on a one night business trip from Colorado and had asked to crash with them for the night. Before I could run from their apartment, Nate arrived and was greeted at the door where he too learned that there was somebody he should meet. The four of us went to a brewery and had a great time. When it came time to say goodbye, Nate waved and walked in the opposite direction. I must be a sucker for politeness because 4 months later, I moved to Colorado and that friend who tricked us, married us a year later!
While running into obstacle after obstacle planning a Greek vacation for the two of us, Nate made the joke that it would be easier to get married. Carrying on the fun of the moment, we sent emails to a few of the local mountain resorts and our wedding vision was born. We wanted to get married on top of a mountain surrounded by a very small group of friends and family, 50 people to be exact. Because of a last minute cancellation at Granby Ranch, our wedding dreams came true 3 months from the date of that joke. There was no time for second guessing or changing our minds. We made decisions, moved on, and kept it simple. The spontaneity paired with the simplicity made September 21, 2019 the most perfect day of our lives.
Our wedding was full of incredible moments! Our guests got to ride a chair lift to the ceremony where we greeted them as they hopped off and took photos before they sat down. “Walking down the isle” was walking through an Aspen filled trail and meeting Nate to overlook the Continental Divide while we said our vows. After riding the chair life down in my incredibly large gown, we started the party immediately, where Nate really got things going by serenading me with “My Girl’s Night Out” by Russell Dickerson. After an epic dance party, we retired to a bonfire and had s’mores, sliders, and bubbles. It was a beautiful and perfect day!
The gown I selected was actually the first one that I saw when I walked into The Bridal Collection. I pointed and said, “that’s a party dress.” The funny part of it was, I didn’t request to try it on! I walked around selected lots of other lacey, hour- glass shaped dresses because I thought those would look great at the top of the mountain. But after a couple of glasses of champagne, I asked for the party dress. The second I put it on, I started dancing while tears ran down my face. I knew immediately that it was the one! The beautiful beading and layers of ruffles made for the perfect dancin’ dress and a true vision at 8,800 feet overlooking the mountains.
Cheers to this gorgeous couple!
