A soon-to-be-bride is looking for a way to add glamour to her elegantly understated wedding dress
Q: Thank you for dreaming up the beautiful gown that I purchased for my October 2013 wedding in Chicago. Originally, I had my heart set on Style 8635 silk dupion version, but I went with the more affordable taffeta gown.
Now, I'm concerned that the details on the dress are too simple and may not show up in photos. Do you have any suggestions on how to make the style look more glamorous?
A: You might be doubting your choice but you've made a great selection by going with style 8636 for your special day! This circular cut skirt offers a classic silhouette and a perfect chapel length train. It's the ideal dress for an elegant and understated bridal look. And I am delighted to tell you that the taffeta version of this dress will flatter your silhouettes just as much as the silk version would. But if you're looking for a touch of drama and glamour to this wedding gown then we'll need to accessorize.
If you want to add some glamour to your wedding gown then you should show off your waist! I recommend adding our beaded regal satin bias belt, A012. It features a beautiful flower and leaf motif in pearls and crystals. If you don't want all that sparkle, take a look at A020. This is an organza bias belt that is accented with lace, silk, and petals. You can even add cap sleeves to this gown, to add some support as well as just to add a fashionable flare, I suggest going with A021.
